When the doctors found patients who were deemed "incurable," they marked their form with a "+"– which designated them to die. Between 1939 and 1941, doctors sentenced 70,000-100,000 Germans to death through their experiments in "perfecting methods of group killings"  [Fishkoff, 1996]
