Two actions by the FDA last week demonstrate where the agency’s priority lies—and that priority is NOT to protect public safety, NOT to protect children’s safety. FDA’s priority—as demonstrated by its actions—is approval of new drugs or approval for expanded even dubious uses of patented drugs.

The New York Times reports (below) that after months of foot dragging, the FDA has finally issued additional warnings on the labels of widely
prescribed psychostimulant drugs–Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta.
The American Society of Health System Pharmacists reports that the FDA "directed all makers of ADHD stimulants in May to strengthen the wording in the "Warnings" section of the labeling "with regard to serious cardiovascular events and psychiatric events."
A front page article in The New York Times reports: "The breakfast buffet at Camp Echo starts at a picnic table covered in gingham-patterned oil cloth.
Medical journals are supposed to be vehicles for scientific give and take–not so, evidently, in journals of the American Psychiatric Association.
This is documented evidence of major medical malpractice.
