In February 2013, Meryl Nass, MD and I wrote a lengthy letter to Amy Gumann, PhD, Chair of the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues and President, University of Pennsylvania, in which we provided detailed reasons why there is no justification for children to be put at risk from the anthrax vaccine.

We followed up with a  May 2013  letter to President Barak Obama requesting that he abandon the unprecedented plan to test the anthrax vaccine and other dangerous so-called “medical countermeasures in children.”
